EZ Pass is OVER

Today we basically spent the day in the car. We knew it was going to be a long day but really had no idea how BIG Iowa is! We started out in IN on Ronald Reagan Memorial Parkway and continued through Iowa (home of John Wayne) and stopped off to check out the University of Iowa - and yes, I did stop in the bookstore BUT I RESISTED. Then we continued on to Madison County and looked for Clint and his pick-up truck.......

The ride was easy while the weather was sunny and clear - we started off with some Moth and This American Life podcasts and moved onto the ipod with indie groups like Signal Path and Local Native (you always have good music with Mike)and then the drive got really boring with corn pasture after corn pasture (it was beautiful in the beginning). We started listening to To Kill A Mockingbird read by Sissy Spacek. Mike never read it and I only saw the movie. She is really good reading it and it just goes with the landscape somehow - we are enjoying it so far.

Pretty much these pictures depict Day Three.
